ok, so i'm trying to get all the bugs worked out of my new daily driver and one of the things that i haven't been able to tackle yet is my gas gauge issue. when the tank is full, the gauge only reads a little past 1/4 tank. when empty, it reads empty, and it has full motion between 1/4 and empty and doesn't move around a whole lot when cruising around. it just never reads more than just slightly above 1/4 tank. after cruising the search feature of this site for about 5mins, i'm beginning to think it's the fuel gauge itself. anyone have any thoughts on this that might be confirm, or deny my theory? i mean, if the gauge has a signal from the sender to tell the pointer to move, but doesn't move in the full range of the actual gauge....sounds like a bad gauge, correct?

also...anyone know where i can get a gauge for an 82-84 bird?
