Power windows

Are the windows supposed to be able to work when the key is in acc mode? It doesn't work in that mode, only when the ignition is on, also when it is in acc it keeps beeping.

Re: Power windows

Power windows work only with the ignition on.

Hope this helps.

Re: Power windows

Yes.
Do you want to roll them up by hand or with your alarm remote?

We are about to install a remote window roll-down on a car here. It's very useful, especially in Texas where the mid-May temperatures climb into upper 90's with no problem.

If you want to roll them up by hand, you can install an extra switch or if you want to tie it to your alarm, you'd need a relay. Anyway, you'd have to tap into, let's say, the PWR ACC circuit. It's strong enough to power both windows.

Re: Power windows

I know exactly what you mean. I myself miss that feature (yeah, I used to own a Ford ).

I might look into making our windows work in the ACC position. I am swamped right now but it's a definite future project, I can say.
