New underhood wires? Rewire whole car?

Engine: Rebuilt 82' 305
Transmission: T-5
Axle/Gears: Non-Posi stock =(
New underhood wires? Rewire whole car?
Hey all,
I was just wondering.. I just pulled my stock engine out of an 86 z28. I am dropping in a new engine from an 82 which requires alot less wires. Plus the underhood connections are currently in bad condition.
Is there anyway to get a new underhood wiring harness thing without rewiring the whole car?
Any ideas are greatly appreciated
