Re: Tranny temp sensor
You would need to get a matching sensor from the manufacturer, there's no telling what sensor type and range they use for that specific gauge.
It could be as simple as a single wire hookup for the sensor, or as complicated as a two-wire hookup. Not too bad.
I'd call Autometer first.

Re: Tranny temp sensor
I did contact auto meter 4 times and they chose to ignore me I guess. It is a sport comp and im pretty sure i have narrowed it down to 2 replacement sensors they sell. The range is 90 degrees and short if that helps.

Good ole customer service. It's hard to tell who ignored you, whether Rajesh, Nassir, Mahesh or Shikra.
No seriously, did you email them or did you try to call? I found out that most companies don't bother answering emails anymore.
I'd try calling.
You might get lucky and talk to a real person. And if you call multiple times, a miracle might happen and you could even talk to the RIGHT person!

A friend and I narrowed it down to 1 sensor it could be as it perfectly matches the specs on the autometer gauge box that it gauge comes with. It should work I hope
