Resetting mileage on an odometer?

My Camaro RS 91 last fall got into water up to roof.
Since that all needed parts replaced, repair.......
Car runs like new. Now I got good used cluster with 185.000 mileage my old have only 58.000. Is any way to reset odometer. Look like in back all close ,soldering connection like circuitboard. Dealer wants $200.00 for the job. Thanks for any detail advice.

It can be done easily on my 84' BUT, ask the dealer if there would be any "problems" doing it yourself... Maybe someone here will save you the time.

Also check any decent auto shops? might be cheaper.

No problem. I talk to DMV and was told that my car title shows low mileage when in 2005 I put my wife as second owner.
I like do myself cheaper if possible.

Re: Resetting mileage on an odometer?

thats what I meant by asking for smarter people.

I just know how on my car. mine can be hand rewound. "had to grease the trip odo and found that out so was careful"

If the car is sold without lying about the odo, there is piece on the title that it gets noted "not actual mileage" or some crap.
