MSD Question??

Ok, I'm going to run a 6AL witha blaster ss coil, my question is, how do i get the factory tach to work since I'm not using the replacement type coil? I'm thinking it will just take a tach adapter, but how and which one?

Re: MSD Question??

Anybody got any idea???

I'm going to be doing the motor swap in a few weeks and dont want to put any aftermarket gauges in the car except for a nice pillar mounted oil and water gauge ( It's a very expensive motor)

I was going to just use the ALL stock gauges but my buddies talked me into using water/oil gauges cause you really dont want to let those go electric (unless they are the $200 autometer ones WOW!!!)

Re: MSD Question??

Sorry I cant help, I'm using a stock coil. I bought MSD's quick-connect harness and plugged that into my MSD 6A, and everything works just fine, even the tach.

I'm not using a STOCK coil, I have a blaster SS coil. The stock coil is no good for a 600hp motor.

Doesn't matter what coil you use, connect the tach to the tach terminal on the box.

There's nothing wrong with electric gauges either, BTW.
