Engine: 350 tpi

MAP question
Hi,
I have a TA-85 carbed vin H(lg4).
Had it for some years now and it runs fine. Discovered that the thing I identified as MAP, should have vacuum...In fact that its what sends info to the ECM about manifold pressure. On my car there is no vacuum connected but still no code....
I just started taking an interest in this so Im a bit confused. How will this affect ignition? Where should I connect a vacuum hose?
