on a stock 91 RS 305 tbi how many wires are suposed to be on the larger post on the starter? and how many are supposed to be on the smaller one? The car wants to start as soon as I touch the positive cable to the battery, and I just don't know which wire I need to take off/switch???? I have two wires that are red and connected to one eyelet, one single red wire,and the positive cable from the battery, and another 10 gauge wire that is either black or purple... the starter has a ground wire that bolts from itself to solinoid

 

The battery cable, two combined red wires, the single red wire all get connected to the same larger post. The purple wire gets connected to the smaller post closest to the engine block....

 

Actually i figured it out! The dumb way! As i was looking at my wires it finally clicked that the eyelet sizes told me where they were supposed to go! So i spent four days trying to figure something out. . . When it was right in front of me! But honestly thanks for at least getting back to me! Dave
