Ok, here is the issue, the other day I was driving my Camaro and out of no where it just turned off. I had just accelerated from a stop sign and I was up to about 40 and it turned off. I had no ignition, no dome light, no radio, no headlights, the only thing that works is my electric fan that is wired seperatly. The car is a 92 Camaro RS with a Carb'd 350 in it. So far what I have done is as follows:

1. Looked under hood for anything obvious, upon inspection I found a wire loom that had contacted my header on the drivers side. I removed the wire loom and found 3 wires that had a hole burnt in the insulation. I proceded to repair the 3 wires. Still no power.

2. I checked all fuses and 1 fuse was blown it was INJ1 fuse, I replaced it with a brand new fuse. Still no power.

I am looking for any input that anyone can provide. Just let me know what you think.

Check your fusable links, they're on the passenger side by the alternator, chances are if there was power arching between the wires you may have burnt those out and if you burn those you will lose power to just about everything in the car.

 

i had almost the same issue with my headers but it ends up i didnt put a ground wire back

 

So I looked for the fusible links on the passenger side like you said. While I was looking for the fusible links I happended to glance down and notice that one of the wires that went to the starter had seperated into two pieces. So I fixed the wire and now my car works fine. Thanks for the advice though, if you wouldn't have told me to look on the passenger side for the fusible link I probably would not have noticed that.

I'm not sure how it could've happened. Sorry I don't have any pics I already fixed it. The wire separated for the connector that connects to the starter. So if you can picture the starter with the connector still bolted on but the wire itself just hanging that is what it looked like.
