oil leak at sensor down by the oil filter

I have a 1988 trans am with the 5.7 I just got out of storage after 10 years. Everything is good except a new oil leak only when the engine is running. I thought it was the oil filter but it is actually a sensor that is down there. I have a shop manual and have spent 2 hours trying to find out what it is so I can purchase a new one. Can anyone help?
