harness interchangability????

Car: 88IROC, 91Z28 + parts cars
Engine: 355, 408
Transmission: T56
Axle/Gears: 3.42 LS1, 9" w/ 4.56 and spool
harness interchangability????
I have some major problems with the underdash harness on my 88 IROC. I know that the columns are the same on the 86 to 88, but what I'm wondering is can I replace the harness with one out of any car from those 3 years, or are the harnesses different between the V6, TBI and TPI cars? Thanks for any help

The 85-89 harness's are all interchangeable. Gm calls it the "Cross-car harness" in most diagrams. Hope this helps....

Would that mean my 85 Carb IP harness will work with a 86 TPI Engine harness and ECU Harness. I'm putting a 86 TPI in my car but I have run into some problems. Just wondering.
