I'm having serious issues. I have an 85 5 spd carb camaro. I'm trying to swap in a 86 TPI setup. I have the Engine/ECU harness and the Ignition harness (Gose to the starter) for the TPI setup. I didn't get the dash/IP harness. Wasn't with the swap. Now I'm running into questions and apparently there isn't any good wiring diagrams for my 85 camaro. I've checked ALLDATA and I have a Chiltons Manual. The good diagrams that show you exactly what pin wires go to in connecters don't start until 86. (Why is that).
Dose anyone have any diagrams of the connecter (Dash/IP side) of an 85 carburated camaro VIN H?
Will I be able to succesfully able to run my car off of the stock Carb Dash harness or do I need to look for another Dash harness? I was also trying to use the original Ignition/Starter harness, but I see that there are some plugs that need to plug into the 86 harness that the 85 dosen't have.
Do I need to get a dash harness out of a 86 camaro. I know there is an 86 in a local parts yard, but it is for a 2.8 Multiport car. Will this harness work.
BTW:I know If I run the Carb Harness I will need to wire up the Fuelpump.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. Starting to wish I would have just bought a TPI 5spd car instead of swaping a TPI into a 5 spd car.
