i dont have a picture yet sorry.

but the best i can decribe it is the connnector itself is the same stle at the coolant temp sensor.

right right with the ground wires connecting to the driver side head(on the back of the head)

its only as long as the ground wires next to it.

so it is literly fixed to only the rear of the drive side head.

and it dosent have anything plugged into it.

as far as i know their arnt any sensors or solinoids in that area of the engine.

ill try to get some pics.

also at my school their is a 305 tpi on an engine dyno so i could actually see the back of the engine open and it didnt even have this connector. hummm.>?

thanks

If it has a tank and black wires, it's the connection for the MAT (Manifold Air Temperature) sensor. The sensor itself is on the underside of the upper plenum, kinda toward the back and driver side. It uses an extension that plugs into the harness behind the driver side head and goes to the sensor (about a 1-ft extension). If that's the connector, then I'd look under the plenum with a mirror for the sensor and the extension, maybe it's disconnected and stuffed under the intake.

Hope this helps.

thanks!

edit - i went nd looked the iat ensor is plugged in mine plugs in on the pass side area of the head no.

i also looked and the wires on the connector im questioning about are black/orange and black.

same style connector as iat and cts are.

and im not 100% on the black/orange. its faded and in a tight spot but its black with something. orange pink or tan but it looks more orange
