engine harness question
ive already pulled the motor out and now im working on the harness. im going from TBI to TPI. My question is what is that hunk of the harness that goes up and plugs into the firewall on the drivers side? is that actually part of the engine harness OR is that something else? like, lights and what not? And, ive got one of the painless harnesses in mind for it, if its all one piece, i assume the painless harness would plug in over there too right?

Re: engine harness question
the harness on the drivers side is for lights cruise and such i went from 86 to 88 serp all your engine harness comes from the pass side thru your fender i thought the same thing when i did my swap

Re: engine harness question
yeah if your gonna run tbi to tpi yes its NOT as hard as it looks trust me all the wiring is just looped around the back of your motor i thought it was BOTH sides when i started and realized it wasnt very simple when you get it out and look at it

Re: engine harness question
ok so it does indeed come off the harness from the right ( chassis harness from what i hear from this thread so far.) i didnt spend much time on that the other day i just pulled the k member out, and ill put a bucket in there to sit on so i can do this. BTW, did yall just take the pass. fender off to get the rest of the harness out?
