Firebird tach?No good search results
I've searched on this to my wits end...there is a fix for the camaro tach on the site but what about the Firebird tachs? My tach is reading low,I have a 1991 TPI 305,T-5 Trans Am.....I have a v-6 tach laying around and wonder is there a way to maby change out a chip on it to work with a V-8?Or is there a simple resistor swap like on the Camaros? Thanks for any help...Dave

Unless you are the original owner & know that everything is 100% original & correct.....Then it would be very possible that the rear end has been replaced & does not have the correct gears (same as original) throwing the reading off. Or for the same reason.....The tranny has been replaced & has different gauge gears in it.
