blower motor resistor wiring
I have done the a/c delete and added the 1LE heater box.I bought a new blower fan/squirrel cage to fit. When I hooked it up using the original resistor, which doesnt really fit the heater box,the fan was going wide open super fast with no air coming out any of the vents. The sppeds didnt match up to the controlls either if you get what I`m saying. As in on med and low it was off.but other settings was wide open.I somehow damaged that resistor taking it in and out and to use it may have to sodder it.I tried using the resistor that came with the heater box but it only has 3 connectors and the connectors for the a/c had 5.I`m asuming the extra 2 are for a/c and/or max a/c settings.
As a siode note the little door by the heater core isnt opening /closing but air should still come out of the vents somewhere.I thought I might have the fan on backwards but it will not fit inside the box when I flip it over.
Any idea which of the five wires I should hook to the resistor?
Should I just use the stock one with the five prong connector that doesnt really fit in the box?
Also ,here is another hole in the heater box that I do not know what goes there, and one in the top of the blower motor itself.Should these be connected with a vent tube or something or just plugged off?I do not have the heater controll valve if that matters..I`ve done a bunch of searching and not been able to find much on this. Not sure if I`m just using the wrong wording for the search feature or what cause I`m sure its been covered.SORRY FOR THE NOVEL.
