1992 RS Hatch Release switch causes motor to crank over!!!
I have a 1992 Camaro RS with the TBI V8. I was out working on it last night and i went to open the hatch and the starter started to turn over but does not operate the hatch release motor. The only changed i've made to the electrical on the car is add a low voltage relay kit to operate the starter. But nothing has changed electrically. I'm lost. Anyone have this problem as well or know what may have caused this? Thanks for everyone's input!!

Your relay is what caused it.
The automatic trans cars use the starter windings to complete the circuit.
It's a safety thing to keep you from opening the hatch when the car is not in park or drive.
