Anyone else use the projector beam headlights? I installed mine and the highbeams on my car are a 2 blade connector, my firend said that wont matter just slide mine over the 2 side blades and it will be fine, but the high beams still power up a little and my volts drop like ALOT. Help please.

 

I did the H4 conversion on my 78 monza and it sounds like you are going through the old wiring woe's. There is a few steps to take to make those lights shine and be nicer to your voltmeter.

1. "The BIG 3" using 4g wire run a conection from your alt terminal to the + battery, from the ground from - to the body, and another ground from the body to your engine. Leave all the original grounds and power lines.

2. Buy the painless wiring H4 kit that will bypass the stock headlight wiring which is old and really to small of wiring to power newer lights. also this kit will save your healight switch because sometimes the current draw of H4 is to much and will burn out the switch.

3. Clean all conections on the fusible link and make sure you have good conection. While doing this get a can of electronics cleaner and clean your sensor conections and give a hour to dry then your in good business.

Give or take your car is 26-16 years old with 100k+ on the odometer and this kind of work will bring it up to par and make sensors more acurate, lights brighter, and save your relationship well maybe not but it will make things alot better on the car.

 

The system isnt the problem, without the highbeams plugged in it's fine, my high beam H4's are a 3 blade connection, I need a 2 blade

 

not always but it is best but I think that if you even go with the two blades you will have the same issue unless you take precautions.

 

Just plug in the ground and the Hi beam connection on the H4 bulb.

Better yet, but housings that use H1 bulbs.
