LED dash project

Im working on a LED dash light project. Does anyone know the resistance range for the dimmer/headlight switch?

Access to the bulb for the shift quadrant has to be easier than access to the headlight switch.

I'm wondering if you can just pull the bulb from the socket and put the ohm meter leads in the socket. Run the dimmer from min to max and be done.

I'm sure that would work as well.
