rear hatch lock
ok i had a 89 rs with power rear hatch and a 92 with it also. my question is do all camaros have this or just some? my rear hatch lock is broke and some parts are missing(thank god the struts are bad) i have a 91 z-28 but it has no power options, would it still have the motor that pulls the hatch down after it is closed?

Re: rear hatch lock
All Camaros and Firebirds have the pull-down unit starting in 86. There were two styles used in 91. Starting in 91 the convertibles have just a slam latch. The hatch release solenoid was an option in 86-91. You can swap a solenoid release for the manual hatch release.
I have any parts you may need to repair your hatch pull-down unit.
