oh noes, wires breaking...
oh noes, wires breaking...
91 Z28 5.7...
long story short, i fixed an exhaust leak but managed to break a retaining clip holding a GREEN WIRE between the 1st and 2nd spark plug on the driver side...
after i fixed the leak, and fired it up, it died in reverse... never happened before... can someone educate me to what this little green wire it, i tried to repair it but when i drove it, it just really sounded like crap and bogs really bad... im not sure if the green wire is responsible for anything but i am trying to rule it out since its the most obvious.
when idling, it sounds good and runs good? please help

Re: oh noes, wires breaking...
that green wire is the coolant temp sender for the temp gauge and should not affect anything else. sounds like you have another problem. go back over EVERYTHING that you undid to fix the exhaust leak and make sure everything is as it should be
