Transmission: 5-Speed and Automatic
Axle/Gears: no idea
ignition wire = 12v constant always on orange wire?

i need access to an ignition wire is it the same thing as a 12v orange wire thats constantly on?

i asked in a thread yesterday where i can get access to an ignition wire and no one responded i did once before and no one was specific or said just do a search

im installing a car computer and i need to find 12v ground and ignition wire

12v and grnd i can find i need access to an ignition wire under the steering columb or wherever

ignition is power that is on while the key is on and during the cranking cycle. the best location is at the pink wire coming down from the steering column. very different from 12v constant.

If you need a switched 12v source, there should be one on the fuse block. It'll be a single male blade marked, "IGN".

Once you find it, verify it's a switched source using your volt meter or test light.

ok thanks, is that wire the same that gets the car started from teh key cuz i need an ignition wire from that area for thios securty box im installing and it stops ugn teh car before typing in a code

The terminal at the fuse block isn't a wire. It's just a terminal that is 12v with the key on, 0v with the key off. That's all it does.

This security thing disables the ignition circuit or the starter circuit?

Where does the installation instructions say to hook it up?
