there is a fuse up front near the nose not sure what side but it runs along the rail should be hidden some where near the battery

It sure would help to have some sort of information to start with. It's hard to help you if we don't know anything.
For example, a dent in the door wouldn't cause the car not to start. A rear end collision would probably damage the fuel pump and/or wiring. A front end collision could destroy the battery, pop some fuses or fusible links, you get the idea.
Our cars are not equipped with impact fuel shutoff (GM doesn't value its customers' lives as much as Ford does) so it's not any safety device that's preventing the car from starting.
As pointed out already, the first place to check would be fuses.
If you give us more info on what damage there is to the car and how it's not starting, we can help you a little better.
