Re: Sound System for 82 Z28
O.k. here ya go...If you want loud you will need...
0. Your choice of head unit
1. custom kick panel or door mounted speakers
2. recessed tweeters in A-pillars and/or dash
3. replace 5x7 in dash with component speakers
4. Custom mounted component where the factory 6x9's are in the rear
5. Custom built sub box for your choice of subs (1-4 of them)
6. Amplifiers to power all of the above
7. Custom amplifier mounting
8. Extra battery and/or high output alternator to power above
9. New rear springs and shocks to support the extra weight (don't laugh)
Just the labor to install the above would be well over $1000
The above parts would be well over $2000 if not well over $3000
This system has the potential to be rediculously loud.
-OR-
for about 700 bucks you could put a Head unit, 1 amp, sub, and maybe a couple of replacement speakers
