Oh no! Is this aluminum wiring?
Found my wiring problem for my feul tank sender (yes, the pink one), and the problem was a broken, solid core aluminum wire. I thought that was isolated to houses in the 60's. Someone had wired a trailer up and worked the wires a bit. Is this throughout the car? And why solid core?

All the wiring in the car should be stranded copper. I would get rid of the aluminum wire.
Solid Core??? Probably what the wiring genius had on hand...
