NO HEADLIGHTS *89 BIRD

Every other light works and the headlights go up and down fine, Just no headlights. I pulled the lights out and hooked them straight to battery and they worked fine. This all happened after I hooked up a C/D player, but I unhooked it and took it back out and still nothing. HELP Ive searched all over tgo trying to find a solution for 2 days and havent come up with anything...

hi I dont have my diagrams with me right now so I can't be sure, but some of GM's have two fuses for lighting, double check your fuses. and where did you power your CD player from if it was the fues center I would check the fuse that you tapped into. This is going to sound far out there but check your Dimmer switch, make sure it is in good working order. "you may have kicked it with your knee while installing the CD and didn't know. You could have blown the dimmer switch to pieces, and then the lights definatly wont work ????

The dimmer switch still clicks but the high beam indicator light on the dash doesnt come on.

OMG I feel like an idiot. The little clips that hold the plug into the dimmer switch under the column were broke and the plug fell out. I plugged the plug back in and BAM headlights work fine. I damn near had the whole harness out of the car before I figured it out.. I guess that goes to show ya, even if youre sure you did it right ,,, Double check the little simple things 1st. Thanks for the help..................

Check your headlight control module it is on the firewall by the brakebooster . It is a box with two plugs in it . It controls your lights and your headlight motors up and down . You may have a bad headlight circuit . Sorry you got your post up before me glad to hear you got it fixed .
