So lately my brake lights have been stuck on in my Camaro, and for the life of me I cant figure out why.. Yesterday I was trouble shooting it and found that when I turn on the park lights or headlights it would kill my brake lights, and they wouldnt work at all if I pushed in the brake pedal.. I have already checked the brake light switch, and even tried jumping the harness at the brake light switch all with no joy.. Anyone have any ideas why my park/headlights would kill my brake lights??? Thanks...

 

You got an open circuit somewhere.Basically a short is grounding them on & your headlights are shorting them out.Do a circuit test or start tracing wires if necessary.Wish i could be of more help.

 

That sounds right, whats funny is that they worked fine before I pulled the dash out, and once I put it back in, this is what happened. I didnt splice or cut any wires, just plugged everything back into its perspective sockets.. Guess I'll pull the dash again and see what I get... Thanks...
