6 speed speedo wiring???

i put the 6 speed in the third gen and bought the aftermarket electronic speedo hears my problem the speed sensor has two wires one purple one yellow amd there is only one input wire for the speedo.. this is suppose to work with the stock sensor but i need to know what the other wire goes to on the sender obviously one would go to the input on the speedo but what does to the other connect to. if i had the 4th gen car the wires would both be connected to the pcm but it does not show what the reference signal is. can i just hook up a 12v wire to one side and the speedo to the other? what have you guys done to hook up your speedo on your 6 speed conversion in the third gen????

You have an aftermarket speedometer in your dash? Did it come with directions? I thought you would need a speedo conversion box to go between the 6-speed speed sensor and the speedometer.

I used a modified tail-shaft and T5 speed sensor on mine.
