couple of electrical issues

couple of electrical issues

where to start....

#1 car doesnt wanna turn over, battery voltage very low so i throw a charger on it get it up to 12.7 volts disconect and go to crank and the car drops to 7-8 ish (DMM reading)
leave charger in jump mode try n start and it clicks on driver kick pannel starter sounds like its spinning only not the flexplate. if the chaarger isnt connected but on a "full charge" and i go to turn it will drop to 6-7,all lights are dimmed almost off, very faint
2# go to test the Diagnostic turn key off put paper clip in on A B ground terminal turn car to on elec fans wont turn on. but SES flashes as 2 big relays are clicking in the driverside top of firewall. it doesnt even flash 1....1....2 just constant flash same pace no 1-2 reading at all no pauses jus a minor milasecond ex: 1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1
3#before when i would drive the car i would go ahead and turn defrosters on and the car would go from 13V to like 8-9V around the danger zone.

thinking might be a nice fat short......

end of story i want to swap this motor and rewire to LS because A. its a V6 B. the motor/electrical is nothin but given me pains in my rear. (good thing i have a sportbike)
any help would be greatly apreciated

Due to the fact it happens when to try to crank it (which means the defroster is not on) it’s not the defroster’s fault.

You probably have a poor connection where the +bat cable goes to the starter/solenoid.

Take the wires off, clean everything and reassemble.

I agree with NINA, sound like a bad ground at the starter. Also, i would check the cables themselves for continuity, ie.. corrosion, large cuts or splits, etc.

hmmm i will try that and let you all know sorry took so long ive been working from the day after i posted that non stop bouncing between jobs.

Sounds like a bad battery to me.

If you are fully charging the battery, then it should drop to around 10 volts when starting.

Or with just the ignition on, it should be 12 something volts.

If a battery is bad, it will not hold its charge.

Also electronic gizmos do not work well under 9 volts. And a lot of stuff including the engine controls are electronic these days...
