Dakota Digital SGI-5 and mechanical speedo.....need help
I know this topic has been covered multiple times but through all my searches I don't see any threads with people who swapped in a T56 who have a mechanical speedometer. I know the speedometer is useless but I need the proper VSS signal for the ECM.
Anyway, I wired my Dakota box the way all the threads describe but when it comes to the output 3 I must have something screwed up. I cut the yellow and purple wire on the ECM harness to bypass the stock buffer and hooked up the yellow wire directly to Output 3 on the box and the purple wire to sensor ground on the box. When I start the car I see on my A/F gauge I'm running very rich, when I try to rev the car it wants to stall. The car is an 89 350 TPI. I had none of these issues prior to hooking up the box. Anybody do a T56 swap on an 86-89 camaro who have input on this?
