Where are the fusible links on '92 Firebird?
Where are the fusible links on '92 Firebird?
Hi all, I have a 92 Firebird that has an electrical problem. There is no power to the power windows, power door locks, headlight motors, and a few other things I cant think of right now. All the lights work-headlights (must manually raise them), tail lights, marker lights, gauge lights, dome light, so these appear to be on a different circuit than the one that is causing the problem. I checked all the fuses in the fuse panel and they are good. Also tested what is either an inline fuse or fusible link right near the battery, coming off what I think may be the junction box, and it is good also. I looked at a few different wiring diagrams I found on the internet including one on this site, and I can not figure them out. Anyone know how many fusible links a '92 Firebird has, which one may be causing this, where it is?

I count 5 two by the batery and three by starter I have a 92 camaro I would think they are the same I went and looked at my harness and that is what I saw the motor is currently out so the harness is easy to see. While you are checking the links at the starter try tapping on the starter with a hammer while someone turns the ignition just disable the car from starting though like disconnecting the coil so no one gets run over and block the wheel or make sure it is in neutral if its a manual trans obviously if it turns over while you are tapping chances are it is the starter but check for loose connection there also

The fuse links for the coolant fan relay and hi-speed blower are shown twice on the schematic. One for each specific model. So if I am looking at this correctly there are 5 or am I missing something.I am new to this form so if I am wrong let me know I don't want to p--s anyone off yet.
