Re: who can tell me what these are
the vacum thing looks like part of the 700r4 lockup kit i had in my s-10. when hooked up right. would only allow lockup with 4th gear and part throttle.

Re: who can tell me what these are
Given the colors of the wires, I'm wondering if the relay is the relay from the fuel pump - but 1984 might not had an in-tank electrical pump - I'm not that familiar with the older models. The vacuum switch might have ben TC lockup BEFORE you swapped to the 4L60e - I can't think of anything else that would have a vacuum switch on it like that.

Re: who can tell me what these are
i figured out that the one with the vacuum only had 1 wire left hooked up, so i decided it couldnt possibly be too important... the relay was for the radiator fan....
but what the F is this?? i was hooked up to the vacuum line that i just removed, its right above the master cylinder and brake booster

That vac line looks like the one that goes down to by where my washer fluid reservoir is. I think it went all the way around the back of the firewall over to a t that t's off to intake and the mass air doohicky. Yes, that's right. I said doohicky.

Re: who can tell me what these are
In the first few pics, its hard to tell what a relay does with little info on the car
Since the swap is already in there, it makes things more difficult to deduce. Get a multimeter and trace the circuits
The thing over the booster looks like a vacuum reserve
The box thing, trace the wires and find out
The silver thing circled in red is the rear defroster resistor thingy. You need it for a functional rear defroster
