need help with harnesses

my rear parking lights and backup lights dont work i think a rat chewed through the wire somewere, i was wondering if i need to get the whole chassis harness or just the body harness
chassi harness :

body harness:

obviously the body harness is way cheaper but i dont know if that is what i need. any help would be appreciated.

If you can where the rodents chewed the wires, post-up a couple photos.I found a yard that has a few 3rd gens. I could get the harness from there unless you want to re-do with Painless. That's a good company.

the problem is i dont know were they chewed threw the wires, and i dont have time for the repair myself so i figured it would be cheaper to get a new harness and have it installed instead of pay them to try and troubleshoot till they found it. i just dont know which harness i need to get.

Re: need help with harnesses

There is alot of harness and connections in between the backup switch and brake switch and the actual tail lights

Get a multimeter and narrow down the circuit

It maybe as simple as a broken/loose ground or blown bulbs

Re: need help with harnesses

The prob I had was some one put a taillight harness from a Firebird,AND they cut out some wires!! I was GREATLY helped by some VERY patient TGO members. I ended up getting the correct harness. Wish you luck & hope you're driving soon.
