Crossed power and ground on stero, help
So i was switching the interior over yesterday into the T/A and the last thing to be done was the wire the radio in, well in my stupidity i just cut a bunch of wires off the old harness, not realixing that my metal wire cutter cut the power and ground at the same time, blowing the ACC fuse(which i replaced) and sparking and creating a small puff of smoke. QUestion is, my power accessories dont work, and i replaced the fuse, so i obviously shorted something out correctly? Im stupid when it comes to wires, what would i do in this situation? Did i like fry out the fires? or what, im not really sure what happened?

LIT THE FUSE
Cutting wires is different than a circuit shorting and blowing a fuse.
There’s no telling where you put 12 volts where none should ever be.
You should check your other fuses.
You might not even have to pull them.
Some have open tops so you can probe both sides with a meter.
If all fuses are OK report back with a list of inoperative items.
Happy Racing!
If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going BackwardsFog lights are not driving lights. They look dorky. Turn em off slow pokes.
How bout those dorks too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime!

Saber I found myself in a similar situation recently when removing an old alarm. I had blown a fuse that wasnt even related to or in the proximity of the wire I cut. I believe Nina was just saying check all your fuses not just the one you replaced, since the power could have gone anywhere as you were cutting them.
