Tailights
My tailights do not run. I put new bulbs in and now the voltage/current is so strong the 20 fuse keeps blowing. They never ran in the first place but now it blows the fuse. My brake lights work, my blinkers work, my reverse lights flash when i go into reverse, and my hazards work. I test lighted the bulbsockets and there was no closed circuit. Idk if there in the same harness but my rear side lights dont run either and i havent checked them. I got a ticket for this and have to fix it quick or pay.

LIGHTEN UP YOUR TAIL
The TAIL fuse provides current to much more than the taillights.
Among other things are marker lights, all lights controlled by the headlight/instrument lamp dimmer, ashtray lamp, shift light, instrument lamps, turn signals, stop lights, radio lights, fog light relay, license plate lights, buzzer.
There is an additional 5 amp fuse for the dimmable lights so that should blow if you have a problem in that line.
Make sure you’re not using anything but stock type bulbs - stay away from the dorky bright lights.
Also you can put an ammeter in line with the TAIL fuse.
As you’re installing/removing your new taillights you can monitor the current flow.
With all things on the current shouldn’t be over 15 amps.
Happy Racing!
If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going BackwardsFog lights are not driving lights. They look dorky. Turn em off slow pokes.
How bout those dorks too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime!

Re: LIGHTEN UP YOUR TAIL
whats a buzzer? and whats a ammeter? you mean multimeter? My brake lights, reverse lights, headlights, ashtray, radio, and signal are all working, maybe my fuse box is diff but they are working right now and i have no fuse in there. Strangely enough i think your partial right because randomly my interior light on the roof doesnt work when i open and close the door now or by switch.
