how do i remove a stock radio harness?

Found a stock radio from a 92 RS in the junk yard in very good condition. I removed the radio but when i was looking for a way to remove the stock wiring harness i didn't see any quick disconnects from my view point. Do i need to cut the harness or is there a disconnect that i need to dig around for? Thanks

Why do you need the stock harness? Is it different from yours? From all the cars I have seen, you will have to cut the pig tail off and splice it to your car.

I have an aftermarket radio in my car, im only amusing since i have removed my aftermarket radio and have seen what looks like a aftermarket wire harness that i will need to revert to a stock harness to re-install the stock radio. Ill double check tomorrow morning but before i did i was wanting to know if there was a disconnect for the stock harness from the donor car because if there is id like to avoid cutting wires.

I seem to remember there being a quick disconnect where the wires entered the radio. If you have an aftermarket radio in now there was probably a newer harness attached to the original. I'm pretty sure mine just popped out of the back of my radio

Check your harness. If you are lucky the radio was put in with a harness adapter and all you have to do is unplug it and then plug the factory plug in to the factory radio. If you cant get the factory harness off the stock radio, there is a little clip you push down to remove the plug.

Hey thanks for the advise about looking for the harness adapter. I took my aftermarket radio out and looked closely at the harness and sure enough the aftermarket harness was attached via an adapter to my stock harness. Installing the factory radio was plug and play. I thought i was going to be stuck splicing wires all day, thankfully thats not the case.
