door lock problem

door lock problem

im having a little issue. first of all i have and after market alarm.
my door actuators click but do not open my door locks .
neither by the alarm lock or the inside buttons.


is there a fuse controlling these?
it got late and dark i didnt pay much attention to it.

You're going to have to take the door panels off, clean the mechanisms, check for binding issues, make sure everything it good, and apply white lithium grease.

Might as well check out the thread on rattles, window adjustments, etc. and make a day of it while you have the door panels off.

Did the power locks ever work?

If yes, it’s probably not necessary to take the door panels off because the chance of both the left and right mechanisms becoming binding simultaneously is near zero.

There are 2 protective devices involved with your locks.

The CTSY fuse and the PWR ACC breaker.

The clicking you are hearing might be the door lock relay.

You have one which sends power to both locks.

Also, you need to make sure the relays are fully bolted to the body... They ground through their casings and the mounting bolt. Found that out the hard way.
