Starting problem with 84 z28
Hey guys, I'm out of ideas here. I have never had any problems with my car starting until now. Just all of a sudden it stopped working. I put the key in the ignition and turn it to start. No clicking of the starter. Just a buzzing sound coming from under the dash. The car has a 350 w/ carb. I took the starter off and had it rebuilt anyways because it looked very old but put it back on and same problem... as far as I know, the neutral safety switch is bypassed cause I can crank it without pushing the clutch. All accessories, lights, radio, blower motor all work with key on run.

Great news. I found the problem. After a brain-fart, I checked the neutral safety switch bypass. Turns out, the jumper wire had fell out. Re-installed and cranked.
