Tach and Speedometer problem
I'm fairly new to the sight so let me first give you a little background on my camaro. I bought it back in Sept. for $450. The previous owner thought it was overheating. The guage would warm up then sit around 260. I shot the engine with a infared thermometer and it never got above 195. So I fixed all that but now I need to get the Tach and Speedo to work.
My question is this. With the car shut off it reads zero and while running at Idle the Tach burys itself to 7k and never moves. I've looked at diagrams and it states pink and white goes to dash and other pink and white goes to distributor. Which pink and white goes where? My next one ishow can I check the Speedo to see if its a speed sensor without changing it out. Sorry its so lengthy but thanks for the time.

Re: Tach and Speedometer problem
I had my oil go to 0psi, speedometer 0, tach 7000. I placed the whole cluster and everything works except my tach. It still sits at 4000 idle and when I add just a little bit of gas it goes to 7000.
