Custom Digital Dash - NOT STOCK

Well, I have been on the hunt to find anything that would help me build a completely custom digital dash for use in my 91 camaro, since I still never found anything already available that fit the 91-92 style or even looked good to me. Plus since I have an additional system that will be going into the car for fuel(not gasoline) that will require monitoring I wanted something that I could build to fit the needs of the project and also look good in the process. Being an old fan of the original Knight Rider TV series I had always like the look of a truely digital in the thirdgen f-body. I had been looking for schematics of KITT's dash to no avail until recently. During a recent conversation with a friend he informed me of a 'proper' name for KITT and so I started searching again. I finally found a company that made manuals to install their dash, but no schematics. Then finally I found a book/manual that may help me with this project: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT

Doing a digital dash will require me reworking the dash to make everything look good and still fit the style of the thirdgen f-body. But I figured that I would post this in case anyone else was wanting to make a digital dash for themselves.

Well I finally got the rest of the schematics that I was looking for to try to start this project although I'm not really happy about the quality of the drawings or text. Not that they are really bad copies, it's just that parts of them aren't exactly what I was looking for. Like the odometer isn't a 7 digit with a tenth position and the tachometer bargraph only goes to 4000 RPM without having to contact them to get updated drawings. I'm still looking to finish this idea so I'll be continuing my search a bit.

Re: Custom Digital Dash - NOT STOCK

Not yet, I've had other battles with this car since. The most recent...as in today...the recharge to the A/C system only half worked. It blows cool air out the windshield defrost only, can't get it to switch to different spots. I'm sure I know that problem is because of a lack of vacuum, but the cool rather than cold air is what concerns me though. This is a "old" replacement a/c compressor so I'm wondering if this one is bad as well, or is there another problem.
