My car was converted to a carb. When the dash lights are on, there is a chime i can hear.. does anyone know why? I can turn the headlights on, but cut the dash lights off and it stops.. thanks

 

if you want a temporary fix you can remove the chime...it is a black box with 5 or so pins located in the box containing your hazard flasher...on the right side of the steering colum ...under the dash

Not really, it pulls right out. Sometimes they're white or blue. Hard to miss, about the size of a pack of filterless smokes, plugs in like a flush or a flasher. It's in the 'convenience center', just flip it down and pull it out.

 

i meant its a permanent fix. I hate chimes.. i dont need an annoying bell to tell me the damn door is open or something. No **** sherlock haha
