wires behind center vents

there is a black wire and a grey wire that is behind the center vents under the dashpad. its a connector, but it connects to nothing. are these important? what would they go to?

Probably the console light below the vents.

i have those wires near the radio harness. the wires im talking about are clipped in right behind the center vents. right in front of the metal bracket that holds the dash to the firewall
