I am putting a 92 TPI 305 motor in my 83 T/A and am wondering about the check engine light wiring. For awhile I had removed all of the original carbureted computer stuff, and the check engine light stayed on all the time (when the key was on or the car running). The new TPI aftermarket harness has a single wire that goes to the check engine light. The original 83 wiring diagram only shows one wire to the check engine light, a white/dk green wire from the computer. Could I just connect the one wire from the new harness to this white/dk green wire and be done? Thanks so much for any help!
