I just finished my v8 swap and i was wandering how i can wire up the fuel pump to keep it from shutting off after 2 seconds but still use the stock relay please help thanks

 

Why?
The ECM is programmed to prime the rails for 2 secs, then stop until the engine fires
If you want to run the pump full time you need to cut the control wire from the ECM to the pump relay and run a wire from a HOT ,key on source

I swapped to carb on my 1992 RS, keeping the in-tank pump. I also cleaned out my engine bay and got rid of everything not needed. I took the fuel pump relay out, but reused it for my fuel pump. I wired it using a hot-in-run wire, a gound, and the two wires from the Oil Pressure Sending Unit that run the fuel pump. The OPSU has a direct connection from the battery to the fuel pump, so I rigged the hot-in-run to the relay, with the ground, and put the two hot wires from the OPSU on the other relay ends - so when I turn on the key, the hot-in-run activates the relay and connects the two wires from the OPSU together to run the pump.

Pump runs as long as the key is on, and I no longer have to worry about the pump running (or not running) if the OPSU ever goes bad.
