Transmission: 700r4
HELP!!!!
i have an 89 Firebird and it has a problem, sometimes wheni turn the key nothing happens but others it starts right up, i cant figure it out and its not the vats cause the security light dont come on. any suggestions?

It could be your ignition switch (not the ignition lock cylinder) or it could be the starter solenoid.... someone else should be able to pinpoint the diagnostic procedure...
