hatch pull down motor.

To make a super long story, super short, has anyone figured out a way to have the trunk closed without using the pull down motor. I want the pull down set at the height when it is closed and then to stay there. I can then close the hatch without it pulling it closed. Anyone figured out how to do this yet?

Re: hatch pull down motor.

Mine used to be like that before I just recently fixed it. Just keep adjusting the pulldown unit up until it catches, but you have to really slam it for it to close.
