Fog lights

I am lucky enough to have a working set of OEM foglights but as I took them out to clean them up I noticed that the inner reflective surface has faded considerably and the metal deflector in the inside is a rusty dark brown color.

I know I can buy new OEM lights...not to mention the numerous aftermarket options but I would rather not. My question is this...has anyone rebuilt their OEM fog lights and is this even possible?

As I look at lights, it seems as though the lens has glue or epoxy to attach itself to the metal housing. A metal bezel covers the outer edge of the lens which clips on is all there is to it.

I dont want to destroy a perfectly functional set of OEM fog lights so I ask these questions in hopes some one here has experience disassemling the lights.

Thanks all
