I just did an engine swap from a 305 tbi to a 1st gen 350. I hooked up my battery to the starter and the power block by the radiator and all my necessary engine sensors are in but there is no power going to the inside of the car. Anyone got any pointers for me?

 

Did you get the grounds connected from the battery to the engine, and from the engine to the body?

 

The engine and frame are both grounded good, the starter is wired right too. I'm trying to find a wiring diagram to see if it helps any but I'm not sure its going to

 

I messed around with the starter wires and put the motor and battery wire on the battery stud and my domelight comes on sometimes but if I hit anything electrical it shorts out, I'm looking through the wiring diagram but I can't seem to find the problem

Ok I fixed the power problem but now when I go to turn the key the ignition is locked up and it won't turn, I have an aftermarket shifter and turbo 400 transmission, thanks if anyone can help
