I have a 89 IROC z28. As title states my speedometer, rpm's, and oil gauges do not work. Seems when i get on the pedal the speedometer starts bouncing and my odometer kicks in. Could someone link me directions on how to fix this lol? or explain it to me. That would be greatly appreciated!!

Also. I think i might know the problem already but i would like to ask really quick. When i start my car, sometimes it makes a glugging noise. and the battery appears to be around 9 volts when it should be a lot higher. after a while the car powers up and gets to 12 volts like it kicks in or something. its not my alternator that's broken right? i just need to replace the battery (battery was dead when i bought the car). the first time i press the pedal after starting the car the car powers down to where it almost shuts off, but then goes back to glugging. when i rev the engine after pressing the pedal the first time. the volts on the battery go up and all the lights get brighter. sorry for the bad explanation lol, i tried my best at 1:51 in the morning

Take your car to AutoZone (or another chain which provides the services) and have the battery and alternator checked.
