Rule number 1 is always unhook the battery when doing electrical work. Well I didn't. I ended up shorting out a headlight a few fuses. Also my ignition switches in my fuse box do not work anymore and now my gauges do not work. I'm leaning towards I might have shorted out the computer as I believe that is the only thing that is connecting them all? Wiring is by no means my specialty and I hate it with a strong passion. anyone with any kind of ideas as to where to start let me know. I'm going to try and get a diagram and start tracing back to wires and seeing what could have possibly all been fried to cause all of these problems.

The computer has nothing to do with the headlights or the ignition power. After you replace all the fuses, check the large red power wires on the back of the alternator and at the power junction near the radiator fan. They have fusible links in them that will melt apart and break the connection. This will kill power to most, if not all systems in the car.
